The year 2019 saw a lot of progress in the activities of the Thalassemia Support Group. Till date Over 50 children of the state have successfully undergone Bonmaro Transplant, an expensive and complicated surgery, at Mumbai, Vellore, Pune, Vellore, Pune, with the initiative of Thalassemia Support Group, by giving confidence to the parents, getting all the financial support and providing free detailed guidance, and those children are now living a Thalassemia free life.
27 bone marrow matched children will undergo bone marrow transplant in near future who have undergone free pre-bone marrow transplant check-ups and are currently undergoing free treatment in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Parbhani Day care centers.
After 2025, with the aim and objective that no thalassemia major child is born in India.
