Innovative Initiatives Underway
- Regularly organizing State level free HLA TYPING camp for thalassemia major children in
district.
- 'Vision2025 Thalassemia Free District Parbhani' campaign is being implemented effectively to
ensure that no thalassemia major child is born in Parbhani district after 2025. All pregnant
mothers in the district are being screened for thalassemia minor in the first trimester.
- On January 29, 2024, At Sparsh Multy specality Hospital Parbhani “A modern 10-bed
Thalassemia/Hemophilia/Sickle Cell Day Care Center” has been started in coordination with
Sankalp India Foundation Bangalore and ThalassemiaSupport Group Parbhani.
- From 2016, the information about this disease should be spread to the public and the posters
and brochures prepared by Thalassemia Support Group in Marathi & Hindi should be distributed
and placed in crowded places for public awareness.
